Diagnosis

Diagnosing a keloid is primarily clinical. Our specialists will examine your scar to evaluate:

•Any associated symptoms such as itching, pain, or tenderness

In most cases, no additional tests are needed. However, if there is uncertainty (e.g., distinguishing from hypertrophic scars or skin tumors), a skin biopsy may be performed.

3. Laser Therapy

4. Cryotherapy

These are used to apply pressure and hydration to the scar, helping to reduce thickness and prevent recurrence.

6. Radiation Therapy

Used selectively after surgical removal to prevent recurrence in aggressive or recurrent keloids. It is carefully planned to avoid damage to healthy tissue.

7. Emerging Treatments
